AASHA

Horrified by the onslaught brought on by COVID-19, my leadership instinct motivated me to do my part helping ease the suffering. I founded Aasha, alongside a classmate, to provide oxygen cylinders, essential medicines and food to people stuck in quarantine. However, I realised all of these were just temporary solutions and in order to catalyse purposeful impact I needed to do something concrete, that is why in collaboration with Oasis Textiles we organised a vaccine camp where we provided vaccines for a 150 factory workers. In addition to that, we organised a fundraiser in order to provide bio-degradable and re-usable sanitary pads for underprivileged women who had lost their jobs to COVID-19 and could not afford to look after their menstrual health
